What does Rotaract do?

Rotaract is an international service organization with 1.2 million members around the world. Each chartered club is unique in its own way, but all focus on local service, international service, and business networking. Our charter has many community service projects based on or around campus, since UA holds such a large space in our hearts.

Is Rotaract similar to Rotary clubs or Interact clubs?

We all come from the same family, so yes.  Rotary created Rotaract and Interact as a way to get young adults involved in service. Interact is geared toward high school-aged students, while Rotaract is for age 18-30 adults.

What activities has this club done in the past?

We have participated in local service projects with Tucson-based organizations (like El Tour de Tucson and Ben's Bells), gone to Rotaract & Rotary conferences to connect with other people in the Rotary family, and held many socials for membership development. To get a better idea of what kind of projects we’ve done, visit our photo gallery here.

I’m in another club or organization and want to collaborate on a service project with you.

Awesome! Email us at ua.rotaractclub@gmail.com

When and where do you meet?

We meet every Tuesday at 5:30 PM in the SUMC.

What if I have class or work during the meeting time?

That’s okay! You’re still able to be a member. Each month we have service projects and socials so that you can still participate and be connected to the club.

Can I bring a friend to the meeting?

Absolutely, we encourage it. We know coming to a meeting by yourself can be a little intimidating, so bring a friend or two or five! The more, the merrier!

Can I participate in a service project even if I’m not a member?

YES! We always welcome other people to join in our service projects. Check out our calendar here, or email us to find a service project you would be interested in.

Do you have dues?

Yes. Our dues are $15 per semester or $30 per year.

Is there a deadline to join?

Nope. We continuously welcome new members. Even if it were our last meeting of the year, we’d love to see you.

I have another question.

If we weren’t able to answer all of your questions, feel free to contact us at ua.rotaractclub@gmail.com and we will get back to you soon.
